Membership

Cascade ASC is a great place to build connections with other Australian Shepherd enthusiasts in a supportive, friendly environment. Our members include veterinarians, breeders, dog sport competitors, trainers, groomers, junior handlers, and many others.

We meet twice yearly, and attendance at one meeting per year is required, as is being a member in good standing with ASCA.

Club members receive discounts on events and seminars hosted by the club, as well as other benefits. We would love to meet you!

A Little Club History

Cascade Australian Shepherd Club was formed on March 1, 1992, by ten members from throughout southern Washington and northwestern Oregon. In its early years, the club hosted two to three two-day conformation and obedience shows annually, held during the summer months at Orchards Park in Vancouver, Washington.

Today, CASC has grown to more than 35 members, with one original founding member still actively involved. Our membership now spans the Pacific Northwest, reaching from Bellevue, Washington in the north to Springfield, Oregon in the south; from The Dalles and Bend, Oregon in the east to Tillamook and the Oregon coastal beaches in the west.

Currently, CASC hosts two two-day conformation shows each year, along with two to three Rally and Obedience trials. In recent years, the club has also added a tracking event, as well as several additional club-related activities. Our summer conformation shows are held rain or shine at the Port of Kalama Park in Kalama, Washington. Rally and Obedience trials are now held indoors in Ridgefield, Washington.

Our members work together to put on high-quality events while, most importantly, enjoying time with our Australian Shepherds. All memberships are voted on, and we ask that prospective members attend a meeting so we can get to know you, your family, and your interests before voting. Please see our Events page for upcoming meetings.
